    This 1834 William H. Seward Gubernatorial Campaign medal (undated;issued 1834; DeWitt/Sullivan-CE 1834-5; HT-28; Low 15; Rarity-3; brass, 27.8mm.) has great eye appeal with a nice strike and great color and surfaces.
    There is some slight damage to the obverseand reverse, but such damage does not affect any of the devices.

    Eagle with wings displayed inverted, and an olive branch with fourleaves and no berries in its right talon and three arrows in its left talon, withlegend around:

    This medal wasissued during Seward’s unsuccessful campaign for Governor of New York as amember of the new Whig Party in 1834.
