Description
Half Cent-denominated Hard Times token, HT-73, struck “for public convenience” in 1837 as the U. S. Mint had temporarily ceased production of the denomination.Popularly collected along with the U. S. Federal Half Cent series, as well as part of the “Hard Times” token series.
Almost Uncirculated, details at the center of the Obverse a bit weak due to strike, however otherwise matches other certified AU specimens I reviewed.
An old cleaning so probably would not certify today other than a “Net” grade - while some luster is evident, the color is a bit off.
Regardless, a popular Redbook variety. I am happy to combine shipping for multiple items – for best service please use the ebay Shopping Cart feature and ASK FOR A COMBINED INVOICE before payment, or contact me for a quote.
