Up for listing: custom brass Kroll switch assy (sleve with switch installed) for use with Pelican M1(3310)/M1(2310[MY2006])/M3(3370)/M6(2320/2330/2390) tailcap hosts manufactured before 2014 and bearing S-prefixed serials (dubbed "Type A" assy)
Inspired by original Sandwich Shoppe aluminum sleeve design (also compatible with pre-2014 batches only)
Kroll switch preinstalled and preadjusted
Low in stock -- may be discontinued once sold out
Highlights and features:
- Sleeve designed for Judco Kroll (J1052) clicky switch mecha only (McClicky NOT compatible)
- Converts old-spec twisty tailcap into durable clicky switch design (for tailcap hosts equipped with twisty switch mecha)
- Replaces stock silent clicky switch mecha for a more robust and reliable clicky switch operation (for models equipped with stock silent clicky tailcap).  User serviceability via use of commercially available Kroll clicky which allows for easy replacement (stock clicky mecha CANNOT be replaced once defective)
- Makes use of full internal tailcap host threads for secure installation
- Retains similar amount of tailcap threads (as compared with stock spec) for latching (screwing) into body's tail threads; only slight increase in body/tail gap length (no more than 3mm total)
- Sleeve height (overall) ~17mm
- Supports switch lockout function (only if tailcap host is reanodized inside-out with internal threads fully covered, at customer's expense)
Disassembly/reassembly instructions for pre-2014 clicky tailcap with "S"-prefixed serial (NOTE: some advanced skills required for chassis disassembly):
1. Using needle nose pliers, unscrew black plastic receiver and remove contents (contact spring + pin, main clicky mecha with soldered PCB);
2. Moist and clean threads and affected areas with industrial-grade solvent (pref. acetone-based) to weaken/dissolve glue, then use cotton swabs and/or pick/hook to carefully scrape out residue;
3. Once tailcap host is dry (no wet solvent) and threads are free of aforementioned glue residue, wiggle and spin out brass disc by wedging center hole with finger or flat nose pliers with reverse-taped (ie. adhesive facing outside) tips.  Brass disc itself should be only weakly (or even not) threadlocked, is ~2mm thick, and can be effectively removed using the nose plier method;
4. (Optional) Carefully drill two small torque holes on brass disc to assist removal/reinstallation using needle nose pliers.  If (3) fails then such drilling will have to be carried out within tailcap host to initiate disc removal.  If so, do it carefully to avoid over-drilling resulting in underside component damage;
5. Remove remaining components: spring, aluminum (or plastic) plunger piece, inner aluminum collar ring (use aforementioned nose plier method to assist removal), switch boot
6. Reclean and relubricate tail host's inside threads.  Reinstall switch boot;
7. Using needle nose pliers, screw assembled Kroll switch module into tail host till snug

NOTE:
a. Use of heat gun highly suggested as moderate-strength thread glue may have been used through chassis;
b. Brown plastic washer piece may need to be broken and/or extracted with special pliers/tweezers in order to access inner brass components for effective chassis disassembly
Tailcap host compatibility:
- M6/M3/M1 clicky tailcap hosts manufactured before 2014 (especially those with "S"-prefixed serial numbers) which feature full internal threads (Type-B setup also compatible when installed in conjunction with original aluminum collar ring from disassembled stock clicky chassis);
- Early-spec M6 twisty tailcap host featuring full internal threads;
- Absolutely NOT compatible with tailcap hosts manufactured after 2014 (esp. those with embossed battery position indicator).  Use the Type-B switch upgrade instead;
- NOT compatible with pre-2014 tailcap hosts with "T"-prefixed serial.  Use the Type-B switch upgrade instead;
- May NOT be compatible with some native LED models (esp. models featuring red side flush switch and flat tailcap without switch mechanism).  Check tailcap specs before proceeding
NOTES on choosing switch sleeve type:
- Please check your existing tailcap specs (S- or T-serial) beforehand to determine the correct switch sleeve version (Type A or B) required for the intended tailcap host.  If in doubt, disassemble the tailcap chassis to double-check, and contact the seller for verification
- If you are to upgrade a stock (S-serial) clicky tailcap, you may be advised to consider the Type-B switch assy instead of this Type-A assy, in case of the latter's limited availability which needs to be reserved for customers who need to upgrade a native twisty tailcap
- When the aforementioned situation occurs, you will be notified of the situation via PM after your order (for Type-A switch assy) has been placed
- If you are to upgrade a stock twisty tailcap, your must choose this Type-A switch assy
- Order this Type-A assy for your pre-2014 ("S"-prefixed serial) clicky tailcap if you have lost (or lost access to) the aluminum collar ring from the stock clicky internal components.  Using the Type B switch assy in an S-serial tailcap host without the said ring may result in problems with the fitment/alignment of the switch boot inside the tailcap chassis
