    (badge).  The award was was established in 1939.
    The World War Two badge was patterned after the WWI version, the main difference being the facing of the bow:
    WWI – right; WWII left.
    The main body of the badge is a wreath of gilt oak leaves.
    The submarine includes a bow gun on the left and a flag on the right to the rear of the conning tower.
    This is a well-detailed post-war pattern of the badge, complete with pin and catch.
