    Description

    The Close Combat Badge was established in 1942 in order to recognize the bravery of the German soldier in hand-to-hand combat.   It was instituted in three classes: gold, silver and bronze.
    This is a fully-functional die-cast replica of the silver (
    antique silver
    , in this case) version of the badge which is appropriate for wear by German veterans and
    Wehrmacht
    reenactors.  It complies with the laws of the
    German
    Federal
    Republic
    (
    Bundesrepublik
    ).
    Please note that the mounting pin is wide like the original medals so it must be mounted through loops sewn to the tunic.
