I acquired an old collection of mostly European coins and Tokens dating back to the 1800’s and forward to the early middle 1900’s some time ago. So, take a look and if there is something that seems right or will fill in a collection or just because it is unusual, make an offer.
This piece is a Souvenir Token from the New York Joint Stock Exchange Company. It was struck to highlight and honor the replacement Stock Exchange that burned in 1835. It weighs approximately 11.2 Grams appears to be solid Copper, Brass or Bronze and is over 2 1/2 cm in diameter. This piece in my opinion is from Fine to Ex Fine. You be the judge. This Token has a smooth edge and it has slight nicks, scratches, edge dents and wear.
I have not cleaned this Token and it does not look like it was ever cleaned.
