MANSFIELD REAR VIEW MIRROR CLOCK

Description

We have a Rear View Mirror Clock manufactured by Mansfield Clock Company.  The Clock is a stem wind clock that was most likely used on cars from the late 20's into the 30's.  The clock does not run at this time but I believe it would if it was given a thorough cleaning.  The glass mirror does show wear and the reflective mirror surface has degraded but does still reflect light and images.  The mirror can be re-silvered to improve it's reflective characteristics. The mirror does have beveled edges which is correct for mirrors of that era.  It is considered to be an era accessory, it could have been installed by the dealer or purchased at a local Auto Parts Store and installed by the car owner.  Most likely it was used on a car that had a 3 point rear view mirror mounting bracket.  The mirror is mounted to a universal mounting bracket that could be installed on most cars of that era.  The bracket is in decent condition and could be used with a little cleaning and painting.  Feel free to ask questions, I will do my best to provide an answer.  I continue to list items from my personal collection, check back often to see what has been listed.  I am open to any reasonable offer.
