    Description

    Here we have a very nice HT-204 Hard Times Token: T. Duseaman of Belleville NJ, struck ca.1837! Although somewhat common, it is not so with original mint red (look in Heritage's and Stack's APR for confirmation)! This token, ex Donald G. Partrick Collection, was in it since 1976: ex Presidential Auctions 3-20-76: 847 for .00 (he thought it was Mint State, and he's not wrong). It's graded by NGC as AU55, and has an abundance of mint red in the devices, with glossy uncleaned and original (yes, original) surfaces! It's also in a very late dies state
    . This coin has cartwheel luster under its original skin. It would probably *pop* with proper conservation. Their use was mainly Canadian; they are tough to find this nice, and this one is nicer than most all of them... Shipping: .50
