Description
EXTREMELY RARE...and hard to find a Sony MZ-1 minidisc Walkman player /recorder very clean and in great working order. This model was the very first model minidisc ever produced in 1993 this was a second iteration and produced 1994. This particular version is minus the gold tabs for the never produced external battery. This unit was very well cared for and is in good cosmetic condition and works great. Unit has been fully tested for record and playback and all buttons and optical ports were tested It all looks and works like it should. (See photos) The battery was not stored in unit so there is no corrosion on the terminals.( See photos)Recorder/Player is used and has some minor signs of use. Unit comes with everything shown in photos. It plays pre recorded minidiscs and home recorded discs very well. The discs loads quickly so the laser is in good shape!
(I test the machine again before packaging to ship to buyer)

This unit only plays and records in the highest resolution recordings as this is the very first model of minidisc produced. It is not a NetMd machine and it doesn't have a USB connection.
Operators manuals are available on line.
